I'm not going to type a lot here right now..
too much to do!! I'm adding a few pictures of pregnancy/baby stuff
for the out of towners who aren't lucky enough to experience the delight! haha
I figured I'd at least get this stuff on here before the baby comes out.. the
rest (Massachusetts vacation photos, halloween party photo's and anything else)
can wait a bit!
Pregnancy/baby
stuff - nothing to exciting but look anyway!! Esp. if you live out of the
state of Michigan!!
Everything is going great, we are down to the
last 3-4-5?? weeks until the baby is born - offical due date is 12/30/05.
They suggest inducing labor 14 days past that, but we do have the option of
holding out longer if everything is splendid with me and the baby.
My last day of work until at least April is
December 22!! YIPPEE to that!! Who knows, maybe I'll be so bored,
I'll be able to better update the site!
Who knows, the next post I make might just be a
billion baby pictures!!!

Well, lots has happened in
the past couple of months. Not much that I can remember, but I'll try my
best to give at least the important details!
First off, we have some sad
news. :( Our Iguana Ares passed away on August 16th, just one
day shy of the day we brought him home 7 years ago. He was sick for a
couple of weeks, with his tongue sticking out. We were force feeding him
to make sure he kept hydrated - then we had a vet come to the house. She
didn't know what his issue was (gotta love the supposed reptile vets around
here!) but figured (as we did) that he had some sort of infection, so she
gave him antibiotics and called it a day. He died just over a week
later. It was really sad, but we are just happy that his suffering is
over! My wish for his next life is that he gets to be a cat... he deserves
free roam of the house! hehe We were just preparing to build him a monster
cage too, so I guess we be grateful that we didn't do all of that, because we
are not getting any more iggys!
We had an ultrasound July
29th. Here are the pictures of our baby from that- they are by no
means, fabulous shots! And the little stinker was sure to keep 'her' legs
tight against her body, so there would be no easy chance to see what was between
them!
The first picture is the
spine, the second is a arm with a tiny hand!

Moving right along to
yesterday! August 26th... We had a second ultrasound
appointment! This time the pictures weren't quite so crappy. The
baby grows very quickly so she was bigger.. AND boy does this kid move
around A LOT!! Wiggling and rolling all over the place in there! The
ultrasound tech this time, was way better too - she explained everything that
she was looking at, so I had a better understanding. Shaun on the other
hand is like a natural at ultrasounds so he automatically knew what everything
was! Me.. I thought the heart was the baby opening it's mouth! hahhaa
I will just blame it on the fact that my angle was not the best for
viewing. Anyway, this time we got a VERY clear look at the all important
area between the legs... and .... wait for it.... it's... A
GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which of course we already knew, thanks to the
pencil test/pendulum wrist trick! Fabulous!! here are the pictures
from yesterday's trip.. I'll make these ones bigger, since they are so
much cooler!!

This is her face looking at you! The dark spots are
eyes!

This is the profile - isn't she soooooooooooooooooooo
cute!!!???

Hey there little toesies!! That looks like a big
foot, huh?? Hopefully her head is NOT that big!
And here is the babe's heart beat that we captured with our
little rental contraption!
babybeat.mp3
I've been feeling the baby
move every day, and last night Shaun felt a big bump right before we went to
sleep!! YAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!!!!
Okay, I think that's all to
report on for now.
WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO Summer
is almost over!!!!
Oh, one more thing... mark
your calendars, Halloween Party 2005 is October 22nd!
Peace OUT!
6/15/05
Well
hello there! Here I am again, updating much later than I really should..
but oh well, at least I update SOMETIMES! Anyways, I've been kind of busy
for the last few months!
We have some fabulous and
exciting news to share with everyone (who hasn't heard already!)!! Our family is getting bigger -
AGAIN... except this time, it's because SHAUN AND I ARE (finally - as some
people might put it) having a
baby!!!! We are of course so excited we can hardly contain
ourselves!! So, here are some details:

*
We found out on April 21st, just two weeks after conception! (how cool are we
for knowing such details, huh?)
*
The official due date is December 30, 2005 - but we think she'll (based on the
pendulum, which has been quite accurate in the past- it's a girl!) come after
the New Year. (a tax break would be nice, but so would a birth day further
away from Christmas!)
*
We had our first midwife appointment on June 3rd and got to hear the
heartbeat!
That's
pretty much the info for now. The baby is about 3" long at this point
and actually looks like a baby! I'll be 12 weeks pregnant tomorrow!
We'll probably have an ultrasound done in August to find out the official sex of
the baby - neither of us really has a preference, but we think it's a girl, if
not we'll still have lots of time to figure out a boys name!
In
other family news!!!
Our
newest niece, Erin Faith was born on May 10th, and after some scares at the
hospital and a little longer than usual stay (which also included her first
helicopter ride!!) She is home and doing wonderfully!
Our
nephew Devin graduated from high school last week - which of course makes us
very proud to have such a smart nephew! :)
2/4/05
Happy New Year everyone!! Okay, so I'm
about a month overdue.. but better late than never I always
say!
We returned from Ireland on Thanksgiving and
I'm just now getting to update the site! I actually kept a journal
while on the trip, but I haven't typed it all in yet - how sad for all of you,
right? ha Perhaps I will try to scan in the pages, that way it's more
journalesque!? (I think I've made a new word!) Anyhoo, we had a
WONDERFUL time in Ireland. It was all the beauty we expected and so much
more! The only bummer for me was how horrible and foggy our day was for
The Cliffs of Moher. Too bad, I'll just have to go back to Ireland
someday. :) See the photo's page for all the exciting
photos! There are nearly 450 of them, so it could take a WHOLE day if you
like.
Since our return was just on the brink of the
'Holiday Season' life has been fast paced and crazy! Lots of cookie
baking, parties and shopping! But really, if we didn't have the holiday
hustle and bustle, would we really be happy? I personally love the crazy
time of the season - as long as Christmas carols are playing in the background
of course!
The day before Christmas eve I had two blown
out tires on the drive to work, it was a really snowy day and the pot hole was
filled with white stuff! So, I decided instead of fixing the prizm, that
had given me many wonderful years - it was the first big purchase I made all on
my own (how very proud!) but it was time to get a new, more reliable
vehicle.. so at the end of the year I got a new car!!! YIPPPEEEE a
2002 Taurus, low miles and not too shabby a price either! The bad news
(for me) is that after only driving her for TWO weeks, Shaun and I were involved
in a smasher of an accident! The first major accident we've ever been
in! Luckily is wasn't major enough to injure anyone... except of course
for my new car!!! BOOHOOO I was pretty sad about it and the car is
still in the shop to this very day!! 3 weeks! :( Perhaps
someday I'll get her back?? haha The good part about it was that Shaun was
driving, so he felt guilty and that was just the opportunity for me to get
things that I wanted!! MUUUUHUUUUHUUUHAAAAAHAAAAA
The weekend after the accident we had a HUGE
snow storm. We had planned on making over the family room (I'd looked at
that paneling and drop ceiling for long enough!) but with all the snow I didn't
know if our helper friends would still be able to make it.. but they
DID!! Rita, Brent, Sophie and Manuel all braved the terrible roads to help
us paint our room! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! The room is still a
work in progress. We are putting ceiling tiles to cover the plywood that
was above the drop ceiling. It is looking really nice though and worth all
the work and time - and MUULAA! Next on the list is building Ares a
new home and then ..... the KITCHEN - just a facelift, nothing
major!.... YET!
This year has not gotten off to a good start. A lot of people we know are
having some downright crappy luck! It's only February, so I know things
will get better!!
Best wishes to all of our family and friends
for the best year ever!!! ... starting NOW!
10/25/04
Again, it's been way too long since the last update! I
am a horrible website person. I am keeping the Irish theme up for now in
honor of our trip to Ireland in less than 3 weeks!! We are terribly
excited about the trip.. I'm feeling a bit anxious about leaving our house and
the kitties for so long though. Lucky for us, my cousin Sara and her
boyfriend Mike will take good care of our boys while we're gone.
A lot has happened since the last update! We have 2 new
nieces -
Congrats to Jennifer and Steve on
the birth of Megan Lynn, born April 3, 2004
Congrats to Rita and Brent on the
birth of Sophie Grace, born on July 26, 2004
and one on the way (hopefully a nephew
this time!!)
Congrats to Heather and Josh on baby
number 2 - due to arrive in May 2005!
Our second annual Halloween party was
this past weekend, we had a great time!! As Borat would say - the party
was a 'Great Success!' Look to the photo album page for hundreds of amazing
shots. If you were there, the pictures will allow you to remember the
fabulous time that we all shared. If you weren't there, you will be sad at
the amount of fun you missed! hahaa But don't worry, I'm sure we'll party
down again next year!
In other really great news!! Shaun
will be starting a new job on November 1st! He will be leaving Unisys,
where he's been for 3 years, and moving on to a position at Harman Becker that
will put that degree he worked so hard for to good use. The job also, had
better pay and benefits package, so all is just dandy!!
I can't believe the year is nearly
over.. before we know it, Christmas will be here - I've already been humming
Christmas Carols! haha Have a wonderful Fall, hopefully I'll be writing
soon after Ireland, and posting billions of boring (to everyone except us)
pictures that no one will WANT to look at, but we'll force them on you anyway!
HAHA
3/4/04
Again, it's been a few months since I last updated this
page.. I try to be current with it, I really do!
I guess there just hasn't been a whole lot to report on for
the last few months. Well, let's see what I can remember.. On
December 11th, our 4th niece was born - Emma Grace - she is adorable and sweet
(see photo's)! We got to meet her on January 21, 2004 when Emma and
Heather came for a post holiday visit! In other Eggar family news,
Josh returned home from Iraq just a few days ago on March 1st! The
complete Eggar family will be making a trip to Michigan on March 17th.
On February 13th, we hosted a sleepover for Michelle's 14th
birthday! Pictures are posted on the photo album page.
In February Shaun and I bought a new bedroom set.. ahhh
I think we forgot what a good sleep felt like, after 4 years of sleeping on the
mattress we bought at big lots! haha Our new bed is much better,
even though we still have difficulty waking up in the morning!
Last weekend, we went to Bryan and Michele's wedding!
What a fun time we had... drinking and shaking it all night long! See
photo album page for visual details.
hmmm see what I mean, about low levels of excitement??
These are the only topics I can think of right now. I guess that happens
in the winter months- I can't wait to mow our lawn again! How sick is
that??
Hopefully the next few months will offer more exciting events
that I can write about, but for now I guess I'm out.. like disco!
11/16/03
Our second
anniversary was October 20th - it was a terrible day! I hate to relive it,
but here goes nothing. First of all Shaun was in Philadelphia for work,
the car was broken and I had to get it to the dealership to look at it, AND
worst of all, I had to take the kittens to the vet to get neutered! Not my
idea of a fun day. Luckily the rest of the month was splendid...
We held our
first annual Halloween party on October 25th, and what a great time we
had!! I'm not sure about anyone else, but we had tons of fun with
drinking, karaoke, apple bobbing, more drinking and of course the alcohol piņata!
I hope everyone will join us next year for the second Hallween
bash!!
Make sure you
check out the photo album page to see lots of photo's from the party!!!
Our first Halloween
in the house was fantastic! We only had 20 trick or treaters, but it was
great, because we only expected 6. hehe Shaun dressed up in a creepy mask,
and was scaring all the kids. Tyler and Lexi were especially scared of him
- Tyler didn't even want to get out of the car! haha After we
finished passing out candy, we got ready to go to see The Rocky Horror Show -
LIVE on stage (for a second time) at midnight! Shaun dressed up a little,
with a waist line bra and lipstick. It was a great show, lots of people
dressed up for the occasion, and the crowd was very excited to see Rocky!
November is
already half over and Christmas will be here before we know it!
We found out some
wonderful news on November 14th. Rita and Brent are expecting a baby next
July!!! Congratulations to them!!
10/13/03
Happy Autumn
everyone!
Well, it has been
quite a while since I've updated this page. We haven't been up to too much
lately, just hanging out in our awesome house, enjoying the yard and all the
work that comes with it!! hehe We are having a
really great time! Just recently, we discovered that the woods behind our
house have walking trails. It's gorgeous back there.
Shaun and I are the
proud parents of two adorable kitties! Loki and Odin are their names, and
a picture is posted below. They are sooo sweet, they love to snuggle and
sleep with us at night. We adopted them from the Dearborn
Animal Shelter in August. They are amazing boys, we look forward to
many years of snuggles with them!
Loki,
Odin and Ares- pet photos!
I was hit by a car
last month while riding my bike.. or as Shaun will say, I hit a car! I
bruised my leg pretty good and my bike wheel is screwed up, but other than that,
I am injury free! It was a freaky experience, I can't even imagine what
some people go through when they are hit head on by a car! I am on a
pedestrian safety kick since then... so BE CAREFUL when you drive!
Shaun is getting a
promotion at work.. unfortunately, this promotion doesn't give any raise until
next year! BLAH! But, it's a good opportunity for him, and hopefully he'll
learn new things and become more knowledgeable so he can make more and more
money.. until we're RICH RICH RICH! ahhhhhhhhhhhh okay, got a little
carried away there. haha
Last week I
purchased a grocery cart. I'm VERY excited about it, because now I can
walk to the grocery store! It's so fun too! Shaun calls me the Euro
bag lady! haha It does look a little strange for someone to be walking
down telegraph with a cart. But who cares, it's fun and I'm proud to look
like a bag lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmmm what
else!? Oh yes, We are having a Halloween Party on October 25th. It should
be a great time! I'm looking forward to getting wasted and acting a
fool! We hope to see everyone there!
8/10/03
Hello! Here is a little update for
all of the interested folks out there! We moved into our wonderful
home on June 28th. The move went really smoothly and we had lots of great
help! Four days after we moved in, we left for West Virginia to go white
water rafting! It was a great trip, we got to raft the Gauley river
instead of the New, because of flooding. Even though we were having a fun
time, it was the first (and possibly) the only trip that we'll ever be truly
excited to return home! It was difficult to leave after only living in the
house for four days... but we survived, and now we are here and loving it for
many years to come!
We had an open house party on July
26th. There was a nice turnout of friends and family to check out our new
home. We had a great time showing off the place.
We haven't done much in the way of
remodeling... pretty much everything is exactly how the previous owner left
it. We did do some painting and trim work in the bathroom. Shaun
is having fun being 'manly' ... and so am I! haha
We are almost completely unpacked.
There are a few straggler boxes here and there... we'll get to them
eventually. Lately we've just been kind of relaxing, playing pool (on our
very own table!!) Our goal has been to unpack a box every week.. but so
far, we aren't doing to well with that! Oh well, the way I see it... we
have at least 30 years to get settled in!
Well, I think that's all the updates I
have for now... if anything exciting happens, I'll be sure to post it.
5/29/03
Hey everyone!
We closed on the house May 27, 2003! We are officially
homeowners!! I will post some photo's of the inside of the house
soon. Our tentative move in date is, June 26th, it shouldn't be any
later than that. We are SUPER excited about the move, and hope to
live in our new house for a really really long time... like maybe even forever!
haha
Well, that is all the excitement for this week! There will be
plenty more in the months ahead!
We have added some photo's that Mom Ryan took on May
27, 2003, both inside and outside of our house! To view the photo's click
on the link below, and type in ryan@ssryan.com
for the email address, and ryan for the password. Check out the
party photo's also.. Rita added some pretty funny captions! I know Shaun
and I were cracking up!!
The
first photo's of our new home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Party
at Rita and Brent's house! 5/23/03 Mirak took the incriminating photo's
5/21/03
First of all, check out the
new Home Page History section.. this is where I'll copy all of the old home page
stuff.
We finally have a closing
date for our house!! Tuesday, May 27, 2003, 10am Unfortunately we
don't get the keys at closing, we have to wait up to 30 days for the seller to
move out! We are SOOOO excited about this move!! At this point we
are looking to move around June 27th.. this could change. We really hope
it changes to a sooner date! hehe
Our nephew Michael is
graduating on June 7th, the same day he turns 18!
What an exciting year this
is gonna be! 2 new babies for our family, graduations, houses!! What
other wonderous things does the future hold!?!
5/5/03 Hi
everyone!
Well after a really long 3.5
weeks, we finally found a wonderful house!!!!!!!!
Our offer on the house was
accepted! We don't have much information yet, about closing dates or move
in dates.. but we should know soon! Everything is going very smoothly and
quickly, we drove by the house on Thursday 4/24/03, went inside Friday, made the
offer Friday and it got accepted Friday! Now it is just kind of a waiting
process.
So, here are some details
about our new house!
* Lot size: 132x305 -
that's almost a full acre!! There are tons of beautiful trees all
over the lot too!!
* House size: 1800 sq
feet. The best part is the family room in back, it's 14X31! Very
nice size room!! 3 bedrooms and 2 baths
* The attic is tall
enough to stand in.. so it could be made into a bungalow style home.
* 2 car attached
garage
* The guy living there
now is leaving us his POOL TABLE! YAAHOOO This is cool, because it is one
of the things we were planning to buy! He is also leaving a
refrigerator and stove.
Well, I guess that's all the
details.. if you want more, you'll have to come see it when we move in!
I'm sure we'll be having a party of some sort!
Thanks
to Lorie and Rob for going out of their way and finding this AWESOME
house!!
Shaun is going to New
Orleans on 5/1/03 for his very first business trip.
I have one more VERY
IMPORTANT tid bit of information!! Our family is going to be getting
BIGGER.... NO NO NO!!! Shaun and I are NOT having a baby! BUT Sister
Heather IS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to Heather and Josh on their
pregnancy! Baby Eggar will be born around Christmas!
