| 2/27/07 Whoa doggy! It's been a coons age since my last update! Being a mom is a time consuming job, what can I say!? Well, a lot has happened since my last post, I don't even think I'll be able to cover more than a years worth of events, so I won't bother too much with it. January 1, 2006 was a wonderful day for our family! Gwen Olivia was born at 7:47 a.m. after a ridiculously long labor! 10 days to be exact, but who's counting. Things did not go as we had planned and my crappy labor turned into a cesarean, but the outcome was wonderful and I was ready to have my sweet baby girl in my arms! Shaun and I love being parents and the transition into parenthood has been quite easy for us. We both view parenting the exact same way, so there isn't any conflict between us while figuring the whole thing out.. very nice!! Last year was very eventful! Gwen had tons of Firsts.. laughs, rolls, sitting up, crawling, walking, halloween, christmas. It was (and still is) amazing watching her grow and accomplish new things every day! For instance, just today she said 'CRAP' ... haha I worry that we are raising a 'rude' child, since we laugh when she burps at the dinner table and giggle while making farting noises when she rips one! She loves farting while she nurses, then gets a big smile on her face then I feel her stomach tense up like she's trying to push one out! hahaa That always makes me think of Devin, because he hated when people try pushing farts out! haha But as the champion 'fart queen' I am very proud of my girl!! 5/6/07 So, I'm trying to update this website.. as you can see I attempted to in February, but never posted it! haha Oh well, here I am again... The year hasn't been the best so far.. My grandpa (papa) passed away in March, which was, and still is extremely devastating to me. I know how much he wanted to know Gwen, his little banana, and that just makes it even harder because I really wanted her to know him too! :( Then a couple weeks ago we had a freak hammock accident, a 4x4 broke from our stand and crashed wood into Shaun and Gwen.. so she got to have her first hospital visit! Hopefully the last too.. I seriously think Shaun and I lost years of our lives from that.. and it turns out it wasn't that big a deal! She was injury free! Shaun on the other hand (haha pun intended!) was not so lucky.. he fractured his hand.. well, maybe he was lucky, since he can't do much with one hand! haha The kitchen renovations are on hold, I have to do the kitty litter, take the trash out and change EVERY SINGLE diaper!! Only for 4 more weeks though!! hehe Then tonight, Shaun's computer took a crap! Soooooooo the past couple months have not been the best.. but day to day life is still pretty darn great! When you have a cutie pie kid around all the time, how can it NOT! We are taking a trip at the end of the month to Chicago!! My mom, sister and the kids are joining us. We are taking the train and staying at a hotel downtown. I can't wait, we haven't been to Chicago in a while! In June, Shaun, Gwen and I will be going on a camping trip on Lake Michigan! Ohhhhhhhhh I can't wait for that either! Hooraaaaaay!! I added a new way to look at our pictures.. it's through winkflash. check the photo's page, and look at the very bottom. The link will never change but new pictures will be added anytime I add pics to winkflash. So, check that out whenever, you might get a surprise! Now if only I can figure out this FTP stuff and get the site updated!
